Meyer had married Sch\u00f6nle, daughter of Lang Jossel (<a class=\"Internet_20_link\" href=\"\/Stuehlingen\/tree.php?t=G1.2.1.4.1\"><span class=\"Internet_20_link\">G1.2.1.4.1<\/span><\/a>) early in 1729. The marriage began under a dark cloud and quickly appeared to be on the brink of divorce. Shortly after the wedding, the couple began to argue about control over the dowry that Sch\u00f6nle brought into the marriage <a class=\"Internet_20_link\" href=\"\/Stuehlingen\/doc.php?d=2204\"><span class=\"Internet_20_link\">[R2204]<\/span><\/a>. From the Halachic point of view, this is a complex topic. The dowry is considered a wife\u2019s tzon barzel (iron flock). In other words, the husband takes possession of the dowry and may benefit from its revenue, but he is responsible for any loss incurred in the dowry\u2019s value.<span class=\"Footnote_20_Reference\"><span class=\"Footnote_20_anchor\" title=\"Footnote: Cf. BT, Bava Kamah 89a; Kofsky, \u201cA Comparative Analysis,\u201d 000. &lt;pg #?&gt;\"><a id=\"body_ftn32\" href=\"#ftn32\">32<\/a><\/span><\/span> Between the lines, the father-in-law lang Jossel appeared unwilling to relinquish control over the assets, a situation that would grate most new husbands. After a great deal of discussions with and counselling by Jonas Gugenheimb (<a class=\"Internet_20_link\" href=\"\/Stuehlingen\/tree.php?t=G1.4.1.2\"><span class=\"Internet_20_link\">G1.4.1.2<\/span><\/a>), Marum Dicker (<a class=\"Internet_20_link\" href=\"\/Stuehlingen\/tree.php?t=W1.3\"><span class=\"Internet_20_link\">W1.3<\/span><\/a>), and Menke Bernheimb (<a class=\"Internet_20_link\" href=\"\/Stuehlingen\/tree.php?t=A1.1\"><span class=\"Internet_20_link\">A1.1<\/span><\/a>), the issue was resolved amiably, and the marriage was saved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"Standard\"> Feistel sold two houses in the town, the first in 1743 <a class=\"Internet_20_link\" href=\"\/Stuehlingen\/doc.php?d=3563\"><span class=\"Internet_20_link\">[R3563]<\/span><\/a>, the second, presumably his son\u2019s, in 1745 <a class=\"Internet_20_link\" href=\"\/Stuehlingen\/doc.php?d=3448\"><span class=\"Internet_20_link\">[R3448]<\/span><\/a>. Both father and son moved to Hechingen. Leib\u2019s second son, Jonas, named after his grandfather, was married to Sara, daughter of Marum Weyl, Sandel\u2019s son <a class=\"Internet_20_link\" href=\"\/Stuehlingen\/doc.php?d=784\"><span class=\"Internet_20_link\">[R784]<\/span><\/a>. They were unable to have children of their own but took a niece into their home <a class=\"Internet_20_link\" href=\"\/Stuehlingen\/doc.php?d=2958\"><span class=\"Internet_20_link\">[R2958]<\/span><\/a>. Jonas was under protection in St\u00fchlingen between 1716 and 1743. He moved to Randegg and from there sold two houses in St\u00fchlingen in 1749 <a class=\"Internet_20_link\" href=\"\/Stuehlingen\/doc.php?d=3461\"><span class=\"Internet_20_link\">[R3461]<\/span><\/a> and 1755 <a class=\"Internet_20_link\" href=\"\/Stuehlingen\/doc.php?d=3468\"><span class=\"Internet_20_link\">[R3468]<\/span><\/a> respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"Footnote\"><span class=\"footnodeNumber\"><a id=\"ftn32\" class=\"Footnote_20_Symbol\" href=\"#body_ftn32\">32<\/a><\/span>Cf.
